Montreal’s main airport: Pierre-Elliott Trudeau (YUL)
The airport is located about 20km from the city center. Here are the best ways to get to your accommodation:
- 747 Express Bus: A budget-friendly 24/7 shuttle that runs directly to downtown. Cost: $11.25 (valid for 24 hours of unlimited bus and metro travel). Tickets can be purchased at the airport vending machines.
- Taxi & Rideshare: Uber, Lyft, and standard Taxis are readily available at Door 23 (Arrivals level). Fixed Rate: Taxis to downtown have a flat rate of approximately $50–$60 CAD.
- Car Rentals: Major agencies are located on the ground floor of the multi-level parking lot in front of the terminal.
- Montreal’s main train station: Grande Centrale Station.

- Old Montreal (Vieux-Montréal): For those who love historic charm, cobblestone streets, and being near the waterfront.
- Downtown (Centre-Ville): The heart of the city with the most hotel options, great shopping, and easy access to the Metro.
- Le Plateau: A trendy, vibrant neighborhood known for its colorful houses, spiral staircases, and amazing local brunch spots.
- Saint Henri: Saint-Henri is a vibrant, historically working-class neighborhood situated along the Lachine Canal that has transformed into a trendy hotspot known for its hip cafes, acclaimed restaurants, and the bustling Atwater Market.
Tip: July is a very busy month in Montreal due to festival season! We recommend booking your stay as soon as possible to ensure availability and better rates.

Fun things to do in Montreal
- Walk along the Lachine Canal and visit our favourite food market, Atwater Market
- Walk through Old Montreal and check-out the Notre-Dame Basilica. Plus don’t miss the Old Port where you can walk along the St. Lawrence River!
- Check-out the hip neighbourhoods of the Mile End, Plateau, and Little Italy for amazing coffee shops, charming gastronomic restaurants, and of course the Jean Talon Market
- Visit St. Joseph’s Oratorie at sunset to catch a glorious view!
- Visit McGill Campus and walk up Mont Royal to see a panoramic view of the city
- If its raining outside, don’t miss the Museum of Fine Arts!
- Spend the day at the world famous Botanical Gardens and visit the Olympic Park.
